Aims and Objectives

The aims and objectives of the ASSOCIATION are:

  1. To pursue scholastic, scientific, metaphysical, cultural/traditional and professional knowledge concerning the measurement, etiology, consequences, detection, prevention, management, control and treatment of crime and delinquency and the victims of these vices in Nigeria.
  2. To promote criminology and security studies profession and related disciplines and to foster cooperation between members, National security agencies and public individuals.
  3. To educate, advocate and sensitize the public on the fundamental human rights law and victims of crime rights, advocate and canvass for compensation/social security for victims of crime and establish a foundation for victims of crime, college of Fellows, Journal of Criminologists and security Practitioners of Nigeria (Editorial Advisory Board), National Rifle Association and National Students Association of Criminology and Security Studies (NASACSS) as interest groups and further invest in corporate Security business.
  4. To harness adequate intelligence on National security issues from all available academic and non academic avenues (research work) with a view to curbing all manner of criminalities and security challenges in the country via intelligence policing system, conferences, seminars, workshops, etc and provision of white paper to the Nigeria government on threatening security issues.
